Harcourts Mandurah real estate director, Clare Seamer is on a strict training regime that will enable her to tackle the arduous Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Anzacs.
Clare is among a group of up to 40 crazy and committed people on track who are set to endure 10 days in dense jungle in hot, humid conditions at altitudes as high as Mt Kosciuszko, as part of The Harcourts Foundation Kokoda Challenge.
“There will be no bathrooms, no hairdryers, no pubs, no five-star accommodation and we will be sleeping on thin rubber mats,” Clare said.
Clare’s husband and three sons are supportive of Clare’s goal to raise at least $10,000 for the Beyond Blue – Australia’s national depression initiative.
“I have always wanted to be challenged to the max,” she said.
